What is Vitamin D?

Vitamin D3 is produced in the skin when exposed to sunlight. Specifically, UVB rays convert a substance in the skin called 7-dehydrocholesterol into vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). This is the preferred form for supplements and injections because your body easily activates it to support essential functions.

Vitamin D3 plays a vital role in:

    •   Calcium absorption for strong bones and teeth
   •    Bone health, helping prevent rickets in children and osteoporosis in adults
   •    Immune and muscle function, while also helping reduce inflammation, control infections, and possibly slow cancer cell growth

Injections can help correct or prevent a deficiency, which may cause symptoms like fatigue, weak muscles, or bone pain.

What are the Benefits of Vitamin D3?

Benefits include: improved immune system, promotion of bone and nerve health, more efficient absorption of calcium, improved mood, improved cognitive function, and decreased fatigue.
